Emma Hearst + John Barker // Hearst Castle, California

Sitting here trying to think of what to write about this wedding and I am almost at a loss for words. This was a three day event that blew my mind!

First, lets state the obvious. Emma Hearst is the daughter of George Hearst. They are members of the Hearst family who at one point owned the Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California. If you still have questions about them, then go to google 🙂

Now that thats out of the way, let talk about this three day event. The rehearsal dinner was at Hearst Castle. This place is RIDICULOUS! The views, the architecture, and just everything is so pretty. But honestly, it was these two families getting together that really did it for me. Seeing how the Hearsts and Barkers were with one another just made it seem like they have known eachother for decades. So much love and so much friendship.

The ceremony rehearsal was at the Hearst Ranch. On top of a mountain and well… Gorgeous! the ceremony site was simple yet so beautiful. Here is how it looked when I first showed up…

After the ceremony we headed down to the eucalyptus forest just off the coast across from the Hearst Ranch. Wild flowers everywhere and open fields like no other. Here is a behind the scenes photo from my instagram for ya 🙂

Then there was a straight up party in a barn celebrating these two.

Ceremony day was just as packed with awesomeness as the other days. Starting off in the Senators House on the Hearst Ranch where Emma was getting ready. Her dress… wow! Just watch the video 🙂 After John and Emma were ready and dressed, they had their first look in the stucco house. All white with candles, made for such a unique location. Here is a behind the scenes photo of these two just after their first look.

The Ceremony was so beautiful. With live music, tequila shots during the ceremony, and a teary eyed groom, this was a memorable one for sure. Their reception took place at the Dairy Barn on the Hearst Ranch. So much decoration and detail put into this party. Heartfelt toasts from family member and friends leading into a crazy party that ended with a laser show.

There is still so much more I have left out but you’ll just have to watch the video and get a feel for the love and charm between Emma and John.

Lastly, here is a little inspiration I had while up in the rolling mountains…
